Vegan Society Registered

Sharing news of our growth in contributing towards longevity for the planet, is one of our favourite things to do; so we are over the moon to announce that we are now registered with The Vegan Society.

Founded in 1944, The Vegan Society is a registered educational charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of veganism, promoting non-dairy vegetarian diets and lifestyles.

“…a philosophy and way of living which seeks to include – as far as possible and practicable – all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternative for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.” an age-old definition of veganism from The Vegan Society

Whilst the beeswax and honey that we use in just a handful of GAIA products has been lovingly farmed at our own flagship spa and Dartmoor back garden, or from 100% honest sources; we understand that even animal by-products are still a no for many vegans, and why we use them absolute minimally, but do want to recognise their more friendly and exceptional natural qualities.

Linking responsibly to our recent accreditation to the Leaping Bunny Program, in formulating cruelty-free natural skincare, this additional acknowledgement to the welfare of animals reinforces our values; and as our brand grows, so will our commitment to formulating purely vegan-friendly products.

You can now find The Vegan Society logo, proudly represented next to those vegan-friendly Gaia products on our web shop.

If you have any queries on any of our range, then the team will be happy to help and you can contact us here.
